Same course as every year, 3 undulating laps around Horwich, part of the Carnival of Racing which including cycling, race walking, orienteering etc. Conditions were good generally apart from the wind. There were not as many competitors as last year as some had complained about various things; it still didn’t stop plenty of course records being broken & some truly excellent performances. Tom did comment that he couldn’t believe it as the first lady passed him & she was a V50! You have to wear you age category on your back – which has its positives & negatives. Well done to Jane & Tom for picking up silver & bronze medals in their respective categories. I have added the first V80 male & V70 female as they posted fantastic times & show you what you what can be achieved at that age.
