The Form Guide (click link at the top of this page) has been updated.
The star performers at the Macclesfield Half (those who ran significantly better than they have in recent races) were :- Sarah Miles, Gavin Mendham, Melissa Broughton, Rob Downs, Diane Bygrave, Janine Ellis, Steve Smith, Clare Hawkes and Angela Maziere.
Others who improved at Macclesfield on their average performance in recent races were:- Patrick Grannon, Simon Fenton, Geoff Gilbert, Peter Watson, Andy Watts, Gail Hill and Ian Ashcroft.
Some of the statistics Ian churns out are useful, but this isn’t one of them . Do we really need informing of our perceived performance against other Wilmslow runners, don’t we have enough information already.
Presumably the next stage is to calculate the effects of the full moon on performances , this could be followed by the effects of a tidal surge affecting times run in coastal areas. There must be lots of others !
I , for one really enjoy Ian’s statistics and reports , find them all great lunch time reading . Keep them coming for me Ian . I thought a full moon only had an effect on one’s demeanour , was it a full moon last night ?
Does anyone understand the Cheshire GP handical system ?
Like Chris, I always find Ian’s stats and reports an interesting read, from the fantastic Race Reports to the mind blowing accuracy of the stats, all welcome, always read, always looked forward to.(even when its bad news!!)
Me too, I’m always amazed at the incredible detail although not as impressed by my position!!! You do a fabulous job Ian, thanks on behalf of all of us!
I agree, thanks Ian. It is all good stuff and adds to the friendly competition that we all enjoy with our club mates. In fact I’d also like to see WAVA scores as these let you see how you are progressing in your category and give you targets that progress with age. Rob
what about using the Power of 10 rankings as this is how we rank against other people in the uk in our age category?
