A bit windy, but the downpour kindly held off until after the race.
Graham was off in the distance, converting his excellent cross-country form onto the tarmac. Repeat this in 3 months and he'll take a club record from the demon Scot.
My first mile pace was 15 seconds quicker than the next 2, but I held position until a teenager came flying past me on the last bend. I was delighted with my time as PBs are as rare as hen's teeth now that I'm into my eighth year running and not getting any younger.
A good field with Stu Doyle breaking 16 minutes for the first time in his modern era, but only 4th Vet 40 and Louise Rudd with a great run breaking 18 minutes but only 7th Lady.
The race doesn't fit Rob's distance to travel/distance to race formula, but a cash prize covered petrol and the entry fee.
