Summer Series update : parkrun

2015 Summer Series parkrun.

Saturday 14/2/15

The second opportunity to register a parkrun time.

Along with Steve, I headed for South Manchester this week, I have run the course before and I was expecting it to be a lot more wet than it was. In the past I seem to remember running through 50 meters of standing water and large puddles on the tarmac, this time there was only one large puddle that was easily avoidable. The course starts with a loop of the lake then a sharp left hand turn after 250 meters onto a gravel path. There is a second sharp left turn after the first 1k then onto wide tarmac paths. There were over 300 runners so a good fast start is essential, as after the left hand turn the course can be congested. Neither Steve or myself improved on our times from last week.

Tony headed for Lyme Park Run so he has now completed 3 summer series races, I am going to wait until it dries out before I attempt this one.
