parkrun ” Summer Series ” Update

Saturday 30/05/15

I headed for Congleton along with Don. The only thing worth reporting, the coffee was good. I struggled round in 25.52, passed Tony on the second lap who only just made the start and didn't actually finish, it appears he had to take a comfort break and didn't get going again. Don managed to strain his calf muscle crossing the road while waiting for his lift and crossed the line in pain in 31.07. We've had better days at Congleton!

At Lyme park, Ian improved on his time with a PB but not on his position in the table, finishing in 26.29. Team Hill, Gail and Jacob came home in 33.14 and 33.15.

Huma made her usual appearance at South Manchester but couldn't improve on her time finishing in 22.21. Christian had a brilliant run nailing a PB in 21.07, drawing level with Louisa in the table. Christian tells me he is going for a sub 21.00 at Bowden on Thursday, my money is on him doing it.

  1. Thanks Chris. As this may be the only thing I win this year, I will wear my crown with pride for the next month. I suspect there may be many more contenders at Bramhall …..
ps – what are the café facilities like there?!

  2. And I’ll wear my jesters hat with pride…
I remember the cafe being busy.

  3. Well done Carolyn.. nice to share the honours amongst the runners… unfortunately for me first time I can say running around the football fields has let me down!! Still another week .. another park run .. may I suggest Worsley Woods and Marple for the next two months!! room to run and good cafe’s and nosh

  4. The café is closed due to renovations of that area. We are lucky to have a coffee van at the start most Saturdays and I understand there is now also a “pop up” café close to the Hall. In any event we will welcome you all to BPR with a smile 🙂
