Saturday 22nd August
We had a total of 21 runners at various parkruns over the week end.
Our only runner at Congleton, Tim, managed a fine PB of 19.31 that moves him up the 5K road table three places, to just in front of Steve Bunker who was 10 seconds behind his best time at South Manchester finishing in 19.48. Other runners at South Manc, Christian 21.18, Chris C 23.02, Janet 25.15 all had good runs but failed to improve on their times. Carolyn also had a good a warm up run for the Birchwood 10k finishing in 26.30 and comes onto the 5k road table.
At Lyme Park, Jim had a great run and a new PB of 19.34 and more importantly it moves him above Andy and Malc in the 5K Trail table, Tony finished in 24.03.
Please note there is no South Manchester parkrun next week so a good opportunity to head for Cheadle Hulme. The run on the 5th of September will have pace setters.
Parkrun “Age Graded Competition” Cheadle Hulme
Only 22 runners at Cheadle this week so let’s try and give it some support next Saturday, it is the last opportunity to win a place on the throne there.
Roy thought he’d nailed it last week. He turned up only to find the race cancelled so had a run round anyway in 22 mins. You can imagine how he felt this week when he realised it was three laps, great to see you running Roy, he managed the three laps this week in 30.59 ( 54.65% ). Nicky managed a good time of 23.28 (78.20%) closely followed by Patrick in 24.14 (68.57%). Claire McCluskey probably didn’t actually know she was in a competitive race, with Nicky having been crowned once already Claire is now heir to the Queens Throne, with a percentage score of 50.34% in a time of 29.28.
Tube and Wires trophy designer is back in work this Wednesday so hope to catch up with the trophies next Tuesday.

Thanks Chris.
Cheadle Hulme is a useful alternative parkrun, and I feel sure that those that put it on would be absolutely delighted to see a mass of Wilmslow Runners.
Additionally you have the chance to win a coveted prize !
Nick.
