Twenty nine Wilmslow runners finished the Summer Mid-Cheshire 5k on Friday.
Some good results there. I note Kate is in the form of her life beating her 2012 PB by 3 seconds!!
Sam setting a sub-16 PB. James beating his 2019 PB with a Sub-17.
Trevor a Category first. Kate a fabulous 3rd.
Probably others too. Why not leave a comment if you also PB’d.

Yes, fantastic fast race, with >800 fast runners and finish slightly below the start, in perfect conditions. The winning time of 14:03 was less than a minute slower than Ingebrigtsen’s time on the track in Budapest in the World Champs. I only beat one person (!), but my time was an RB (Recent Best) for two years. However, I was still well behind Harry Newton (V85). Luckily, he does not do XC or fell races! BTW, I noticed that few people took advantage of the 1km return to the car to do a warm down. We should all do a warm down after racing, by running at least half a mile as slowly as possible, to remove some lactic acid and ease recovery. CU at Bollington 3 Peaks on 10 Sept?
