A combination of Bank Holiday weekend, half-term and a sunny outlook usually brings out the wandering parkrun tourists.
Thirty-nine club runners at Saturdays 15 parkrun events.
The travellers included: Matt in the South West realising, as he first-timed, that a ‘Hil’ in the name of a park is for a good reason. Mike made his yearly pilgrimage further South West. Rebecca tried running a long way away this week and had a good time after the niggles she recently has had – first lady too!. Gareth and Victoria took to the outskirts of Sheffield for their run. RD had his quickest run this year. Qes first timing at the Marshes. Richard took to the grassy Marple.
For the Series runners it was last chase to get or their increase points this month.
There were a few Freshers about. At South Manchester. The Jackson two PB’d. Rob 5th.PaulG improved his time this year by 2 seconds! At Didsbury the Manchester B’s ran. Nic PB’d RichardH and Roy also ran.
A few Country Squires were about. At Bramhall, Paul was all the2’s; The Lady C’s were back to record their Parkrun Series times. But the top guy was Graham at Lyme Park – he Pb’d [by 1 second]; beating his 2016 time!!
Just a few Slickers ran. At the race track Huma paced her daughter. At Stretford Andrew had his quickest run this year. Ian manged to equal last weeks South Manchester run.
There were a lot of WAGS about. At Alderley there were 11; we had a 1-2-3: James, Mark and Billy! Graham and Jarrod also in the top 10. PB’s for Graham, Steve, John and Patrick. Lesley first timed. Tom pacing. Down the road at Wilmslow a further 9 members ran. Sam first home. Markus and Lewis in the top 10. Andy, Rachel and Graham also ran. Andy top AG.

Thanks Patrick for another great round-up of ParkRun events and well done on another PB at Alderley! You really have returned to form whereas I seem to have lost all form! I will keep plugging away. Another fine run by Andy Watts at Wilmslow, defying the years. Good to see Rebecca pop up at Ambleside, showing the Ladies a clean pair of heels. Alan Turner & Sue Strang also ran at Fletcher, but must have decided not to record a time.
