Wilmslow Members Parkrun results – 20th May 2023

A Quick look at Saturdays parkruns. Thirty-five runners at 10 Parkrun events

With the arrival of the Great Manchester run weekend it was time for some of our members to rest before the event. Others to marshal and help out and avoid the sun..

Chloe was out and about with a dash at the Flash. JD had his fastest time this year at the Pally.

There were those who chose grassier runs. Andrew and Angie at Marple. First time this year for Angie. Whilst PaulG was first member home at Wythenshawe. Janie first timed. Jan and Catherine and Roy as well.

A bit early to celebrate; but might have been acclimatising for Sunday – Gareth and Victoria were first timing in Salford.

As for the Point brigade.

Markus was first club member home at Bramhall. Col PB’d. PaulN had a quickish run. Graham was saving himself. At the other Squires event: Barry top AG. Gareth ran his 100^th. JP added more hill miles to his legs.

The only Slickers were at the Fast-racing Track at the busy Alexandra event. Nic PB’d by almost 20 seconds. Big Al returned and managed to equal last week’s fast pace. Sue was quicker again. Huma chose to pace her daughter.

For the WAGS – Alderley got its quota of marshals in time. Nine runners too!  Billy equalled his PB! Tom was first on AG. RichardH rested his legs. Nancy Marshal first timed and stole the points off the Cat!

Meanwhile at Wilmslow  – Graham was first member home managing his niggle. The crowd helped identify Rachel on her 50^th run – as her hand only just hovered above the tall people around her 😊 Cakes and prosecco provided by her too. Pity the last one disappeared just before I got back! Sluggish or relaxing run – perhaps still feeling the Killer Mile.

Hannah was back. Mrs B was faster than last week.  Rebecca was out walking and possibly snapping people on her phone.I tested my back – having somehow wrecked it two weeks earlier. A little stiff but almost 2 minutes faster than last time out on the Carrs. Had time to have a ChatGP session to determine whether I had reason to worry about a rash too!
