Wilmslow members Parkrun results : 22nd January 2022

Well, no Cross Country this weekend.  Wilmslow had 25 runners at 10 parkrun events.

At Bramhall PaulG with a quick time is still in the ascendancy as PaulN acclimatises himself to local weather. Janine back after XC last week. The wise men paid homage to South Manchester and returned after 5 years to test themselves this week. They ensured the event had most runners running at the events out members ran. There was one more runner here than at Delamere! Ian first club runner home was half a minute slower than in 2017. Roy had the honours by being just 6 seconds slower! Both top in their age categories. Perhaps life-expectancy is lower in Manchester than Cheshire? 😊

Oliver had a quick run, on safari, at Knowsley where he first-timed. His position was equal to his highest finish achieved at Cheadle. Whilst at Marple, Andrew ran a quick time – close to his 2019 time; Angie had a similar time to last July and was third lady -her AG was the highest at the event.

Going one better, Laura returned to Delamere. She was second lady and bettered last weeks’ time by 9 seconds for a PB. Colin, back running, decided on grass rather than lakes for running. RichardL continued his off road running and had a fastish run at Macc.

A troupe turned out at Alexandra Park. No doubt wanting to miss any park puddles at Wilmslow. The Regulars, Alan and John, were not too far off their PBs but the B’s first timed with impressive performances. Nic went under 24 minutes – I can’t remember when that last happened! And Tracy! Well with an AG of 85.26%, she just missed topping the AG table there by 0.03%. Still, she  was Second Lady home with a time that was back to her 2018 times. Good enough for the course category Record.  Training for Helsby seems to have tuned her performance.

The breakfast boys and Carolyn hit Didsbury for a slightly expensive but very nice breakfast. It made up for a personal Worst by Chris who was dragged round by Richard. Carolyn was just over a minute behind them.

That leaves Wilmslow. Home of puddles.

Andrew first runner home and Richard, with his fastest time since October, 3^rd. Mike was 9^th. Rebecca second lady home – not bad as she was pacing as was Graham. Di taking it easy with Eva as Joe put in a good 22 minutes run. James was taking Flo on her first parkrun.  Andy volunteering.

 

Summary:

Busiest event: South Manchester [335]; Quietest Cheadle [35].

Top Age grade at event: Richard and Angie

First Finisher: Andrew.

Course category record: Tracy [Alexandra Park]

AG over 80%: Tracy 85.26%
