A relaxing week after the cup match with Bollington.
That next round started Sunday [yesterday]. Latest score at 8am is
WRC 110 v 166 POYNTON.
We have at the moment 7 runners; Poynton 16
Last Sunday saw some last minute 5k runs which propelled our team ahead of Bollington ands we managed to hold the lead until close of play that evening.
This week we had early entries from: RichardH, Graham, PaulG, Mick and Tracy.
A busy week for Laura with a big birthday, an even bigger bike.
Julie has managed training and several runs. Must be getting fitter and better. Wonder if Sunday’s run was the Bollington Virtual 10k? Dan – with the relaxation – went to the Seaside [Seahouses] for a 20k tempo run. The two Pauls took Craig for a 20k Lyme Park jaunt. RichardL was running there too.
Rob’s exploits saw him catch a family of weasels, a greater spotted woodpecker, Hares, buzzard, lapwings, llamas. Thouigh the hares (and curlew) might be apparitions after a couple of pints!
Tim, Huma, Alan and PeterB had a 10 miler at Bollington.
Rumours about the lengths of Nicky’s legs being different lengths are unfounded. I’m told it’s the hills. :0
Later that morning Amanda led Nicky, Kate, John , and Olivia on an eight mile run in the hills above Bollington/Rainow this morning. Very enjoyable and exhilarating with all the uphill gradients and the wind buffeting us around at the top. They passed various runners including Tony from Bollington Harriers who was very gracious about their defeat in the Mob Challenge.
Jarod extended his recovery by adding a 10k Sunday. Jan tried out her ankle. Rebecca her niggle after her virtual half marathonand Emmy risked running into car spotters whilst running to get a coffee.
WRC Strava League returned to normality. Rob ahead of RichardC and Peter on distance and shoe-time . Rob lead Graham and Markus on climbing; probably because Graham tried to retrace Rob’s climb to Windgather Rocks!
Lots of other bits. Sorry I can’t do justice this week. Answer to riddles tomorrow.
