August park running finished in the sunshine. We had 22 runners at 12 park run events. Holiday season sees our members pop up all over the country.
Carolyn ran with the most (367) in Windemere. Dan with the least (108) at Hyde Park. Other Solo runners included: JohnP at Wythenshawe knocking nearly a minute off his 2019 time; RobJ second home at Sale Water Park was a little off his previous run time where he PB’d; RichardH first timed at Didsbury with a quick time; whilst IanS put in his normal consistent run at York;
Oliver added Stamford in London to his growing list of different park runs. That’s number 41 for him! Also in London was young Dan, who was first home at Hyde Park, with his second fastest parkrun time this year. Keeping in the capital, young Dunkley PB’d at Ally Pally with his second run there this year.
The Whittingham’s returned to Havant after an absence of a few years, Andrew returning to running after his long layoff was over a minute faster than his earlier August run, Louisa his daughter used the opportunity to beat him – first Lady home with an easy PB by over 100 seconds. Another pair of runners – ColinC and Laura – jogged round the pastures in Alnwick.
The Usual Suspects were at Bramhall: RobD in fine form was fourth home with a fast run an AG of 84.66%; GrahamS was close to his fastets Bramhall time of 2019; PaulN was again consistent with a another quick time.
At Wilmslow, getting itself ready for Cinema In the Park, Sam romped home finishing first. Trevor 4th; consistent as ever – Mr 19 plus or minus 10 – was on the minus side with an AG of 82.94%. Another one in fine form, Tim 9th, ran his second fastest time for Wilmslow this year. Nicola was first Wilmslow Lady and PB’d by nearly 2 minutes! Excellent.
ChrisC and Jan had a pacing contest – Chris wining by 1 second! Emily returned to park running after 3 months; Roy smashed his previous 2019 tie by nearly 20 seconds.
Trevor was fastest on AG table at Wilmslow, Tim 4th, Sam 8th. Rob fastest on AG at Bramhall – Paul 3rd. Dan first AG at Hyde Park. LouisaW second at Havant – Andrew 6th. RobJ 4th at Sale.
