Back from my tour of Wales and daughter uni pick up, I noticed with Whitley today we still had 26 club runners at some 13 Parkrun events.
At Bramhall, the busiest course, Graham ran a great time and AG his highest there since May 17! PaulN ran his usual strong race. No Rob this week but daughter Juliet was first lady finisher with her second fastest time following on from her PB last week.
JamesM first visit to Stockport saw him 4th home out of 150 or so runners. Whilst Kate returned to Wythenshawe after a 5 year absence – only 2 more runs until her 100th! Carolyn visited Marple with Chris where Angie ran her fastest time there since Oct 2015 and her best AG – 76.54%! Chris on his tour of Parkruns was there too and only 2 seconds of his PB of last year. Oliver and Sharon in tandem again at Lyme Park. Sharon second lady finisher after her great Manchester Marathon (1st LV45 )last Sunday.
Other solo runners included Roy at Cheadle with his best AG there and who was close to his PB of 2015. Sally at Macc was second lady home with a PB and a great AG of 79.89%. RichardL visited Newborough Forest by the sea, ran a god time and was 9th home; first lady home was only 2 seconds behind the first man home – must be very competitive in Wales! Whilst our furthest traveller saw PaulG , also in Wales, finish strongly at Swansea a couple of hours before I arrived there!
Jan looking for some radio-active incentive took on Sizewell for her second fastest – this year? – by the sea too! Mike not too far away in Keswick ran his second fastest this year – 7th home in over 200 runners.
At Home in Wilmslow Peter, with his 3rd fastest time and an AG of 82.64% led every one home. We had 4 finishers in the first 6: JamesE, Sam; and Trevor who is running consistently strong at the moment – achieved an AG of 80.65%. Other runners included Markus, JamesE (3 more runs for his 50th) running with Joe, RichardH (after his marathon last week!), GrahamD (chasing or pacing young Sam?), Laura our only Lady runner and Matt taking young James on his first Parkrun.
lastly Mark improving all the time after his long injury revisited Didsbury and knocked a minute of his time with a PB – I wont be able to live with him in a race [assuming I could run!!].
