Weather warnings and cancelled events didn’t stop a chunk of Wilmslow runners out running parkruns this Saturday. We had some Thirty odd club members out at nine events.
Steve went East to Derbyshire to avoid the ice. He first timed on the old track there. Club Member Laura? Went west to the forest to avoid the ice. It was her first parkrun for 14 months.
Nearer home, Rebecca chose to run rather than tail walk this week . Similarly, Huma chose to run and not pace..
Grass was a favourite for some. The battle of the Paulos was won by PaulN, pipping PaulG [who is edging closer to his 600th run!].
Cheadle had a surprise! Nit the quietest this week. Almost 200 people turned up! Barry was second to finish [and 2nd on AG too]; Mr and Mrs S ran there as well.
Trails were popular/. At Burnage the Breakfast Baron was back with his quickest parkrun time since July; Richard pipped Nic and Lady C had her quickest parkrun time since 2022.
But most of our runners – always on the lookout for something free – co-opted to do Alderley and sampled the selection. Luke was first to finish and top AG too. Jim and Andrew in the top 10. Jon and Catherine PB’d.
