Forty-five Club members at Fourteen Parkrun Events This Bonfire Night prequel.
Singletons included: Oliver who ran at the newly formed North Manchester event – -had his fastest parkrun time this year! Nick was back at Northwich. Third overall and second on AG. Gary first timed in Middlesbrough. Andrew at the Conga had his fastest time the last 6 months. Janine taking on the Stockport hills was 3rd Lady finisher and close to her 2019 time.
The Breakfast Club was back – in Burnage town -Jan had her fastest time there this year.
Some doubles: Gareth [closing in on his 100th] and Victoria chose Wigan to stretch their legs.
That leaves the Series Park runners.
Two at Lyme. Catherine was back after a 5 year absence. Me – I failed my goal of a 30-minute SB. Took much longer getting up the first hill than last time out. Struggled with last hill too! Used Fridays football result to take the disappointment away. 😊 Three at Bramhall. Barry 3rd and top AG. Paul 4th4th AG. Rachel First Timer.
Another two at Stretford: Ella first timer was third lady finisher with her fastest time since 2021; Di was back there after a six and a half year absence and not far off her 2017 time! At Didsbury Another threesome: James swapping courses was first runner home. A PB too as did Billy. Tom was 3rd on AG – James first!
A few more Slickers were out too. Nine at the Alex. Qes first club member home almost getting a PB. Steve and Laura first timed. Nicky was second on AG. Tracy 3rd on AG – even with Nic hanging on to her coat-tails. John P back in form – just 1 sec off a SB. Don with a SB. Huma pacing daughter to a PB.
Nine also at Wilmslow. Ashley 6th. Rebecca tail-walker Andy top AG. At Alderley Jim was third home and top AG on Graham 4th. Lewis 4th overall and A PB.
