Wilmslow Members Parkrun results 21st October 23

With Storm Babet causing grief all around the UK and many parkruns being cancelled; we had Twenty-seven storm chasers out running this weekend.

Storm Babet, is actually named in honour of a woman who visited the Dutch KMNI’s[Dutch national weather service]  head office and entered her name into the lottery. She stated that her reason for doing so was because she was born during a storm! The next one will be Ciarán.

At Bramhall the course was in relatively good nick. There were pacers there this week. [I’d thought it was last week that pacers were out  ☹– oh well march 18^th for next chance to tag onto a pacer]. Steve with a PB. Jim first club member to finish. Top AG too. Janine 5^th on AG.

Duos out included Graham and Paul taking to the hills to avoid any possibility of floods.

Singletons: Oliver at Congleton. A Catherine at South Manchester – not sure about her!

At the races, Nic with another 22-minute run. Gareth and Victoria there too.  A quickie from Big Al and a debut for Chloe. The Alex saw Dave first club member home. Tom first time with a great AG. Huma stretching her legs after Chicago.

Most club members went to Alderley. For safety in the trees? Four club members finished in the first eleven. Billy was first home. The C’s were there too. Janet back running now and approaching her 50^th parkrun. Ian with a Seasons Best. Roy over 30 minutes – but a PB; beating his previous one set 15 months ago by 7 seconds!  Well done.
