Wilmslow members parkrun results 7th October  2023

Still catching up for me. So, here is another very quick look at your activities from last Saturday when 36 club members ran at 15 different parkrun events.

With members saving themselves for Knutsford/Congleton it was quiet at some events.

Amongst the soloists: Rebecca clocked up another parkrun and bolstered her air miles as she prepared for Chicago marathon with a parkrun. First lady finisher too!

Another traveller, Jim,  was first timing – at Buxton. LauraR on an Island. LauraB at a quieter Cheadle. Richard first timing at Hyde was 2^nd to finish. Tim back at the Conga. Nic Ambled along at his consistent 23-minute pace.

Doublets included: The S’s  at Bramhall. The J’s at Alderley Park. Sharon 2^nd lady to finish. Big Al and JP were at the AlexPk race track. Mark and Qes at South Mcr – PB for Mark

It was much busier elsewhere.  At Didsbury. PaulG won the battle of the Paulos. A PB too. Mick and Chloe first timed. Mick top AG. In fact we had 4 out of the top five on AG. PaulN, Janine and PaulG were 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th.

Up in the Hills. A reduced Breakfast contingent – Chris couldn’t persuade Richard to come out to run as the café was closed! It was Chris’s first run for over 3 months. Mike was first club member home. Gareth PB’d. Jan and Victoria took to the hills. Roy decided on a different challenge. No sub-30 in the plan at that altitude. 😊 That remains one of my few remaining 2023 challenges left to complete!

Lastly. Wilmslow saw some classy club members out and about. We had 5 runners in the first 6 to finish. Andrew first man home Claire second – just behind him! Ashley third!! Lewis and Andrew 5^th and 6^th. A PB for Claire who was also 2^nd on AG. Steve a PB. Andy and Rachel next. Ian on the road back had his fastest Series time there.
