Wilmslow members parkrun results 12th August 2023

 

A very bust Saturday for park running. Forty-two members ran at 13 Events!

Singletons included: Tim back park-running – at Congleton; Gareth enjoying his 101^st run near the coast – he wore his 100th Shirt – bit it seems he needed directions to finish :);

perhaps Richard enjoyed his 250^th much better weather-wise down under. Kathryn was on her monthly hill run at Lyme park; whilst Markus took on Glossop for the first time. Nick chose Northwich for his 50^th parkrun. Achey legs and various road closures didn’t stop me from a 30 second PB at Didsbury.

Mr and Mrs S were in the capital Excelling themselves.  The two R’s were at Burnage. Roy’s Knee rehab continuing with another 30 minute run.

Three ran at  Stretford.. Tom first timed with an AG of over 80%. Nicky had second highest AG – but a young  11-14 had a higher one – he came first too! Don was there as well. All posted their first times there this year.

A few WAGs were out and about. Alderley saw  the J’s first time. Rob came first too!  Frankie first lady club member home. Graham was pipped by Mike. Kate was back to record a time as last weekend there was a problem with everyone getting a time of 59:59! It’s one way of getting a PB. 😊 Cat was back park running after a month off.

At Wilmslow Andrew came home second. Claire first lady to finish with a PB as well. Janet was back running.

But where were most Wilmslow members?  Bramhall was the place. It was the 700^th Parkrun.

How many of you were aware that Bramhall was the 6th parkrun in the world… and was started by WRC members who have continued to help over the last 15+ years?

Sixteen members ran. Ashley, Lewis and Tracy first timed. Ahley first member home. Rebecca first lady home. Louisa and Sharon 2^nd and 3^rd lady finishers to complete a 1-2-3 for Wilmslow! A rare outing for Mick – returning to Bramhall after a 9 year absence with 80 plus AG. Tracy was second on AG. However a lady in her 70’s racked up a 94.55% AG!!
