A really hot Sunday in Wilmslow – probably the hotest day of the year so far – and a bumper turnout of Wilmslow Club Members at RunNorthWest’s Summer 10k event.
A number Some helped out – some also did pacing! Others came to watch and others came for the cones. Unfortunately for Chris, there were no 99’s – the cones came without Ice Cream!
Max first Wilmslow runner home. Then Claire who was first in her Category. PaulN first in his category. Time 2nd, Tracy 34d and Ian 4th in their respective categories.
Quite fast times recorded considering the temperature. Clair 3 seconds off her PB, Tracy 6, Di 8 and Robert 14 seconds of theirs. However, Nic made up for it for the Bowns – PB’d by 87 seconds; Mark PB’d by 55 seconds and Rebecca by 10.
Andrew, Alan and Nicola were pacing. No longer just minutes; we now have half minutes: 37:30 and 52:30!
And Paul taking on English athletes. May have been pipped by 1 second. But on Chip he was 30 seconds quicker. 🙂

Yes, it was certainly a warm one. I was on car park duty from 7:15am, followed by handing out water bottles at the finish. Good to see some fine performances in the heat, well run everybody!
Thanks for the report Patrick! Certainly was hot, great event as always, thanks to all the volunteers as well
