This was the fifth annual trail race on Sunday. Ttaking in some of the parks, countryside, and sights of Marple. A multi terrain, mainly off-road, 10k. One for next years Series?
Starting and finishing in beautiful Brabyns Park, then a short section of Marple canal locks, some quiet back roads and paths in Marple, past the ruins of Marple Hall and over the River Goyt into Chadkirk Country Park, up “that hill” to the Peak Forest Canal and back to Brabyns Park over the spectacular Marple Aqueduct towering 40m above the River Goyt.
Well with a Fun race too for little Rex. It wasn’t one to be missed by Di – who was first female home.
Not sure how Rex did in the Fun Run! But he had an elite pacer.
