Some young ladies go to Hollywood to break into films. But our Jan headed to Roundhay Park to parade her skills in front of the cameras and the Yorkshire sporting public. As well as hob-nob with the Tri-Stars.
In a very strong field she came 11th out of 24 in her category. She finished in 2:58:27 and was 790th Overall.
The run was hilly and the bike ride was windy, hilly, twisty, and turny. She had to be confident and brave! Well you can see what happened to Mr Brownlee!!
Her results below:
Well done!!
Well done Jan! A great position in a very high quality field. Strong swim followed by a T1 blip.
I see that T1 was over 8 minutes, must have been that struggle to get out of your wet suit. Perhaps note to self: “Must practice getting out of wet suit!!”
Thanks both .. it was a very long transition.. involving a run uphill.. it was estimated at 6 mins.. mine more like 9.. lesson learned, don’t let a random competitor do up your new wetsuit
