Wilmslow Runners Parkrun results 29th January 2022

We had 25 and a bit members running at  11 parkrun events.

Starting off with a success.  At Marple the Johnstone’s ran – and Sharon  was first lady home

Various runners with or getting injuries!  Tracy [pulled up], RichardL and Laura finished as did PeterB.

At Bramhall Barry, with his fastest run since January, nosed ahead of Rob. But Rob  was just ahead on AG as they were second and third highest at the event. Matt returned to the course after 4 years to run his fastest parkrun since 2019. Paul stretching his legs for Sunday and Janine – third lady home – were the other club runners.

Laura returned to Congleton after a 2 year absence and PB’d by nearly 90s. Marple also saw Oliver get a PB by nearly 3 minutes. The Cheshire Gentlemans Club runners chose Wythenshawe to stretch their legs.

Lyme Park was a hill to Far for Richard’s back. He finished – unlike TracyB who retired part way through at Alexandra Park with her back. Nic proved last weeks sub 24 wasn’t a fluke. He returned to PB by 6 seconds. Huma led the pack home. Followed by Alan – not too far off a PB. JP also ran.

Nick and Kate were at Didsbury, AndrewC first-timed at Sale and was second home with his fastest run for ages. Another first timer, this time at Evesham, was AndrewG.

Cheadle had such a poor turnout this week – 27 runners including Colin. On his 25^th parkrun and the second since his op he improved on last weeks outing. Well done!

At Wilmslow Richard 3^rd and Mike 7^th were our only  top ten finishers. Andy had a fast time but just missed getting 80%AG by a whisker. Rebecca broke 23 minutes, helped no doubt by GrahamD’s pacing!  Volunteers: Don, Graham and Andy;

80%+ AGs: Rob83.82%; Barry 82.52%;
