A number, 27, Wilmslow Club Runners got up early on Christmas Morning. They ran at 7 different events.
Though a lot of runners look like they were taking it easy. Saving themselves for the Xmas Handicap? I wonder. Or, ensuring they didn’t fall asleep during the Queens speech?!!
There were a few singleton club runners out and about. And a few busy events.
Graham and family jogged round a busy South Manchester. Colin was back up in the North East. Angie at her local. Tim ran a quickie at Congleton with an AG of 80.51%. Julian at Harrogate running exactly 25 minutes.
Then we had a few at Bramhall. The Johnstone’s visited there. Rob was our first club member to finish with an AG of 83.16%. Sharon our first lady runner home. PaulN regained the bragging rights over PaulG. Janine and Oliver taking it easy.
Wilmslow saw over 300 runners prepared to get out of bed early. Sam came home second 3 seconds behind the first finisher. AndrewC was the only other Wilmslow top 10 finisher. First Wilmslow lady home was Rebecca who paced Laura around. It was Laura’s first time back for nearly 2 years. As was RichardL’s long awaited return. Nicky, saving herself for Tuesday paced her youngsters and an unknown around. Jeremy PB’d by over 30 seconds -two years after his last park run Jon also made a comeback. Allan in tip top form, Trevor – running quickly again. RichardH 20 minutes dead – fast or pacing? Steve, Ian and Roy taking it easy in preparation for the handicap. John pushing himself.
