After a break of more than 16 months due to the pandemic, the race returned to Manchester city centre.
This year things were slightly different with no warm-up and plenty of room in the start areas to allow people to social distance to do their own stretching.
Both races once again started at Portland Street – with the half marathon looping around the Etihad – and ran down Chester Road towards Old Trafford and back.
One club member ran and ended up with a great time and position – and a PB by 42 seconds two years on from when he set it. He’s looking good for a PB at Manchester next weekend. Potentially Sub 3 if he gets his pacing right! Good luck.
Hope he’s lenient with us when he takes training next Tuesday!!
