A few runners from the club were at Manchester on Sunday. Noticed ex-member Kate was there too.
Both Andrew and Paul [managing his injury/niggle] were first in their category! Well done. As Andrew summed it up:
A fun morning at the Great Manchester 10K representing Hive Running to help in a small way to never forget the 22. The big lorries blocking all roads to the mass start area a vivid reminder that we live in a world of risk and alongside some very rare but extreme individuals. Extreme views exist in all sections of society but humanity as a whole always wins with love, respect, tolerance and understanding. Running brings us together and today felt good.
Today I finished first vet 50 in 37.18. After a very busy couple of months at work and a bout of man flu, I am happy with the time. The last few miles a reminder of how much I love and hate racing in equal measure . I am feeling the racing bug again though
