Well if you believe the hype of the race organisors:
Bringing back Fast 5k road racing on THE FASTEST COURSE IN THE WORLD. It’s all about the fast times
………. WORLD RECORD COURSE
Held at Pendle. The runners are seeded and placed into Sub 15:30 and Sub 17:30 races. Peter has been continually breaking his PB and the Club Record almost every time he has run.
Pacing himself well he turned in yet another PB/Club Record finishing 8th in his race in a very tight finish.
His PB wasn’t by 1 second as in the Neil Cliffe Sizzler 10 days earlier – but a whopping 16 seconds.
Well done Peter. Just needs me to update the records. Or should I wait until his next 5k? 🙂

Another outstanding run by Peter Speake. To be almost breaking 15 minutes for 5k at 45 is incredible. Fingers crossed he might just break 15 minutes this year. Good luck Peter!
