Interesting week. Personally, I brassed off the people in Portland by running [well let’s say really say fast walking to avoid knocking over the oldies] the Portland Dash.
It was the also the first time I’ve been asked to stop running and leave town [Portsmouth] at Gun point.
Braved the drizzle at the Irish Sea 1850 and the Calm And the No Ships at Cowes as no wind stopped play.
Elsewhere we had real runners at the Pie and Peas, The Quarry Bank Trail and the Sandbach 10k. – see the earlier reports for more details on those events.
WRC Strava League that week (ending 8th) saw Peter [105k] head of Dan and Graham on distance. Similar time-wise. But this time Graham, with 7 and a half hours running, was second, less than 5 minutes behind Peter. Dan was third. But no one can stop Rob on ascent [2077m]. He comfortably led Brian and Richard.
Longest run was by Graham (34.5k) and several 20k+ runs were completed by other [marathon training?] runners. 20K+ runners included: RichardH, Jill [well done], Markus, Ian, PaulG, and Brian. Andrew and RichardC just missing out.
