With Lockdown now over. The ability to go run with more than one other runner, or to go further afield is open to most runners. But what happened to our December runners?
Well last week:
Dan has been out and about around Oxford. His week’s challenge was a little Iffy: rep’ing round old Roger Bannister’s ground amongst other runs.
Tracy, having injured her shoulder – no doubt pushing her way through the shopping crowds to get her Christmas shopping done early– has managed a couple of runs.
Lots of members are now pushing themselves with longer runs. 20k+ runners included: Dan, Claire, Rob, PaulG, Claire, RichardH, Mick and NicR…. PaulG ran the furthest in one run (24.2k).
RichardL has been mainly getting out for 5ks and has created his own Gravel Lane -Alderley Edge 5k. Matt has been able to get out for a few 5ks – chilling before the vaccine rush? RichardC has managed slightly longer runs.
PaulN has mixed his running: family jaunts, creating the Bramhall Maze run; PaulN has been out a number of times and rep’d round the Alderley edge circuit and hill too.
Rebecca is counting the days to 2021 – when she’ll be in new shoes – with some early spooky morning runs.
Craig is putting in regular morning or lunch runs.
There’s snow excuse for getting out there and run Rob told Damian. Mind you they should get their watches calibrated!!
A few [4?] ran Tatton 10k. Only 1 registered as Wilmslow Running Club. Three had category positions more later.
WRC Strava League was dominated by three runners: Rob, Dan and Damien. Rob first on Time and Climbs – but beaten by Dan on distance. Damian was third on distance as well as time but second on Climbs. Dan second on time and finally we had Claire breaking the stranglehold was third on climbs. and time.
