Lockdown is going to hit us from this week. A last chance for some to do things they really like doing. Rob was out with the Billies for a long Sunday run, young Markus also ran. Elsewhere Jan completed 10 miles with a couple of social runners. Long runs all around as PaulG stretched his legs for 11.5 miles and RichardH and AndrewC chose a half marathon road run to finish the week. Mick was out a few times. He chose the wettest day to run a half marathon.
GrahamD, why aye man, is a canny chappy; he now has a four legged personal trainer who can also be used to flush out pheasants whilst up north; Elspeth has Gareth for company and encouragement. Tracy blitzed 10k with Laura. Local hill reps and a run through Tatton set her up that 10k. RichardC after his Tatton stitch has been taking it easy this week. Katy also does local hill reps. With spectators not allowed she has an incentive to run a quick 5k whilst waiting for her daughter.
Rebecca saved having a shower at home this week by chosing running in the heavy rain for a 7 miler.
GrahamS is still on his virtual park runs – #29 completed. JonathanD chose Ally Pally for his. Tim, Richard and Andrew ran their 5k out against the wind and back with the wind behind them. Jez likes to hike in mud when not running. Mike has been hiking up north with the occasional run.
Though Matt has been virtually cycling worldwide he still managed to make training on Tuesday. As did Jarrod who has been recovering with swimming and cycling. Robin has been out locally most days this week. Dan is still running around the spires in Oxford. RichardL has been building up strength and orienteering skills in the really northern hills.
Tier 3 runners enjoyed themselves at Royal Cheadle business park.
Our resident naturalist has been out foxing and badgering the wildlife. Grey wagtails this week. RichardH sold a trip to York to his missus. Pity it tuned into a bit of a Shambles. Rather than shops he ran her round the town every day to tire her legs and curtail shopping.
MarkB had his first run since his ankle injury in May. He repeated the 5k run two days later and was 80 seconds quicker. That reminds me – get your injury/recovery status updates to me please
Huma indicated she was doing the Tatton 10k. Luckily A sense of misdirection took her to Heaton Park. She completed the 10k there in a time of 46:13. First lady V50. Qes chose the 5k and completed it in 19:56.
Apologies to exploits missed.
