Rep Race investigations and Riddle Answer

Apology for the lack of news. I was awaiting the outcome of the Styal Mill rep race controversy.  Group 3 and 4 were set against Group 5 at the Mill climbs on Tuesday. In a series of three reps, Group 5 going in a different loop to  group 3 and 4. The first rep produced a very close finish. Group 3 and 4 took umbrage claiming they got lost. The next 2 reps then saw them finish well ahead of Group 5. However the Race Director reported back that groups 3 and 4 were ignoring missing out the bollards towards the end of their rep gaining an unfair advantage.  Seeking clarification from the Sports Arbitration Panel on the validity of the result– they have responded today stating that reps 2 and 3 would be voided and the reps race be deemed a draw. Groups 3 and 4 were not to be fined but given a warning and  a one year suspended  sentence of an additional hill climb should they ignore their Race Director in future training sessions..

Please may I leave the class

Hopefully we will see a much more professional and courteous behavior in the next 3 weeks as  Chief Commandant trainer Nick rules his eyes over training at the club.

Last chance to let me know of your health and injury/recovery status. Can’t believe there are just 3 of you!

Riddle Answer:

What is the next letter  in the sequence:  U D T Q C S S H N ….?

It’s D

The phrase is one well used in schools. You have probably said it yourself many times. Listening outside the class I can clearly remembering hearing Madame Professeur’s delightful tone saying:

“Repeat after me. Hun, Doh! Twah, cattra, sank, seize ……”!!

Sorry Clarification just  in – Un, deux, trois …….Dix!

This Weeks Riddle, an easy one  especially for Julie and our two horse whisperers Steve and Tim:

Jules friend Poppy went to a Derbyshire horse farm looking to buy a horse. She didn’t. However she met another lady there –  Carol, who had arrived a few days earlier.

‘Interestingly’, July said talking to her daughter later, ‘Carol has only just ridden home from that farm today, Tuesday, although she had arrived 3 days before I did on Wednesday!’

How did Carol manage to do that?

  1. Having taken the time to set out a course with clearly visible bollards and white arrow markers groups 3 & 4 decided to follow their noses and shorten their rep thus placing group 5 at a distinct disadvantage! As Patrick says, any repeat of this behaviour and additional hill reps will be imposed! Race Director.
