Well you all were clearly [not] resting for the Mob Cup Final this past week.
Rob, back from the lakes has been hitting the miles and hills. New Mills, Lyme park. Llamas, merlins, buzzards to name but a few.
Tuesday’s training sessions are well attended [I think] the Carrs, Nature Reserve and Styal Woods. Next week Group3/4/5 are at the Mill!
Nicky’s Mystery tour was the Bollington Nostalgia. Starting an uphill route without a warm up was a killer for them! I worried about their navigation skills. However, they found the route but had to do a slight detour when they were distracted by cows which aren’t normally there. There were 13 of them, so they split into three groups. They were joined by Klaus Dalgaard our latest member who has just joined the club. Welcome Klaus.
Ian, Zoe, Huma and Pete; Nicky, Tracy, Amanda, John and Klaus; the two Pauls, Markuus and Janine were the other group.
Next week’s mystery tour is on safer grounds – Styal Woods.
Jan has been walking, swimming [in the Open!] and cycling. Whilst recovering. Managed a 5k too for the Cup Final!
Gareth – such a gentleman accompanied Elspeth on her run, allowing her a Sunday lie-in.
Cup wise. Tim took RichardH and AndrewC on his Cup Final course. Rob, professional, took his daughter for pacing and encouragement. GrahamD chose Dean Row, Markuus the bypass.
The Glamour Girls Sunday runs continued. This Sunday it was at the Edge. Only 3 takers this week. I bet the others were running 5ks!!
Above picture from the Sunday morning run around the Edge and Alderley Park. This was on the way back along Bradford Lane before we disappeared into the woods again. (Amanda took the photo). Why not give it go next week.
WRC Strava League had a slight change from last week. With Rob still having a couple of days in the lakes, running and walking, last week’s trio took advantage again. It was a different leader on mileage: PeterS led Dan and RichardC. Rob’s time in the lakes made him overall leader on time – pushing Peter and Dan into 2nd and third. While Brian and PaulN snook into second and third positions on climbs behind Rob.
I had a massage and a gait video done. If it had been shown to a vet and I was a racehorse. I’d have been put down immediately!! Not sure how I can get better after watching it. Let’s see what my consultant says.
Thinking back at the news I have read these past weeks:
