Well a bit wet this week. But with the cup match on Wilmslow Runners still managed to get Out and about A busy week – so it was hard to follow you all. But ..
KatyG managed to drop her netball and do a quick 13k.
PeteS revisited the lakes for his runs. Bernard preferred the Tegs area for his climbs.
Rob took daughter Jules up the climb to see Old Bob. Spotted weasels too! Ended up in the lakes for walks and runs. Not much to spot there but sheep.
Well training went well. Though top marks to Mick who got in his reps in the early morning dry spell!
Thursday saw Nicky’s mystery tour. Mud baths optional beauty treatments available.
This weeks Mystery Tour is a little familiar. The Bollington Nostalgia revisited! I wonder how good the girl’s navigation will be!
Mick chose better weather in the South where parks are much posher at Richmond.
Jan managed a 5k for the club and concentrated on cycling and run-walks to aid her recovery. Also swam circuits at Boundary Water – possibly warming the water for Laura. Jarrod alternated swims and bike runs
GrahamD enjoyed his run so much – it’s amazing what 5 goals can do! – whilst managing to worry Col and Laura – it’s not only the Postman Who knocks Twice. Or was it When I’m Cleaning Windows?
Tim took RichardH and Marcus on a 10k trail – they forgot their snorkelling kit though!
Tim also found the distance between 2 post boxes was 6k not 2 metres.
Elspeth managed training and a 5k Mob run. Gareth accompanied her. Jules made training too and got out and about.
Bernard returned to Leeds from the North East and coastal runs to do reps rather than watch United hit 5! Emmy building up her runs.
Lots of you did your Mob Match 5ks. It was great to see spouses, partners, children, nieces, grannies running for us. Thank you very much. We did so well being outnumbered against Bollington and it looked like a repeat performance would be needed. However, Poynton only ran 92 out of 149 of their registered runners. Bury will be different. They only have about 70-80 runners. But some of then are fast. Glancing at their times I’ve a feeling they are faster across the first 50 or so runners. So, all our runners will be needed and it may be down to our fast runners keeping us in the hunt and our less prominent runners to excel and win it for us.
On the WRC Strava League board. Perhaps you may want rob to have more holidays and hill running! Daniel, Peter and Richard led on distance. Rob pipped Dan and Peter on time actually running. On hills – obviously Rob.; Mike and Ian fought hard for 2nd and 3rd Climbing.
Good luck. Wear that vest with pride!!
Take care whilst running.
