Now that the rules are relaxed. The Pony tails are getting longer – or just starting! Bob and fringe trimming experiments may or may not have been successful.
Tans deeper. Men looking like they have 1960’s Beatles style hair!! I’m more like doc Brown from Back to TheFuture.
Have our runners being going our further or longer?
Our sought after club member for the new Countryfile presenter has been out and about again. This last week: a jay, a nuthatch and a flock of noisy starlings one day; sparrow hawks another; plus Two golden plovers, three goldfinches and fields of buttercups! Nothing like a breezy time up the Chair to blow the cobwebs again.
As usual Rob led the WRC Strava club with 100 miles way ahead of Peter and Dan. Graham and Damian were behind Rob on climbing.
The hot weather may be the reason a lot of our runners have been doing long bike rides.
Tim, must be desperate for a holiday – he keeps circling the Airport runways -looking for a cheap flight? His wildlife spotting only included midges this week. Took young Jan for a Fosters Chippy run on Sunday.
Rebecca went exploring in Prestbury. Jez ran off his – self-induced? – headache with Di. IanR chose the Alderley Edge bypass 10k.
Graham likes taking a run at Shutlinsloe. Brian did some reps at the club. RichardL had a lazy run. MarkB chose an afternoon run.
Nicky’s getting some golf in.
Matt in between cycling put in a 10 miler. Hopefully his recovery is going well. That’s a reminder. Can you all recovered, recovering or just recently injured runners send me an update on your condition, recovery. It’s Injury update coming early June. Thank you. Usual mail address: [email protected].
Laura has been virtually cycling in London and also built on water swimming around Allostock making Graham jealous and wanting his first dip of the year. She also worked on her cycling through the Pacific Ocean somewhere need the Solomon Islands.
Plenty of outings from the Pauls, RichardC, Robin, AndrewC. Apologies to those missed.
Last week I mentioned the unfortunate lady ‘fans’ in the football stand at Seoul to give it atmosphere. Well in Germany fans are paying for their carboard cut outs to occupy their seats in the stands to give it more atmosphere. Interesting out of 18 matches so far – there have only been 3 home wins!!
Coming this week. Poets corner. Poets Week has been abandoned as not enough people responded.
Answer to last weeks Riddle of the week. The word was incorrectly!
Lastly: after the run on toilet rolls, pasta, flour etc. we had. John Lewis had a run on Freezers, landline phones and bread makers. Now the latest things for people to be ordering are hair-removing kits and hair dyes!!
