I did set a riddle Friday:
You find me in the past, and I can be created in the present, but the future is never mine. What am I?
Answer at the end. I wonder whether anyone solved it?
Having published some of the clubs summer routes. RichardH did he Graveyard Lane route done last week. And was scheduled to do Bollin River route this week . For those who don’t know we have the routes on our website under the menu option: CLUB INFO/ CLUB ROUTES.
Elsewhere our members have been quite active. Hares, buzzards, hills and daughters has kept Rob going – but Jules is beginning to have to slow down and wait for her old cart horse to catch up with her when doing hills! Still Rob’s keeping busy with his ornithology, botany and now gardening excursions.. Also crossing the first cuckoo of his I-Spy Birds book.
Matt trying two short runs as opposed to one long effort whilst doing his best in the Wilmslow Challenge cycle event.
Laura has been trying out different routes and thinks she has found the ‘best route ever’. Some of it is stolen from Andrew but then she put a lovely bit in up to Hare Hill and round the edge waterfalls before cutting back to Andy’s route. It is so lovely apparently. Future club run?
Meanwhile Jan has also been exploring – this time around the runway – looking for new routes after failing to find Whitty’s Way. Rebecca’s too has been exploring too searching out interesting paths.
I noticed a number of our runners have bee near or around the runways this week. Jules stuck to being local and chose to Middlewood Way and Lyme Park. Dan’s been out and about in Leeds, GrahamS around Whaley – bumping into people! Mick, a few Richards and Pauls, AndrewC, Craig, Robin have been out and about. JonathanD trying a 10 mile in London.
WRF had a virtual quiz last weekend. I was busy eating but believe a number enjoyed it. Don was rumoured to have done well.
I ran the furthest for 6 months – I use the term running in its widest meaning – 2 miles. Still sore after 3 days 🙁 Also spotted another fancy dress runner. Looked liked Kermit – but was yellow!! So not sure what he was supposed to be.
Take care running. Especially as you can go out for longer after Wednesday.
By the way The answer to the riddle is: History 🙂
I love this update thanks Patrick! Also, I scratched my head over the riddle.. that was about it.. I’m rubbish at quiz’s too!
