Well with only one response to my request for any update on anyone being injured. [Even though I thought I knew 1-2 male runners and 2-3 lady runners who were injured or getting over their injuries.] I have had only one update! So you all must be fully fit – or shy, or something.
You can let me know on your injury and/or recovery by eMail and I’ll do an update next month. eMail me at [email protected].
It would seem, at the moment, we have 3.
Short Term
No one!
Long Term
3.
We know about James’ injuries and his leaving us. So that leaves me:

As expected, my pain reduction injection – due last Tuesday – was cancelled due to the Hospital facilities being now used in support the NHS against Coronavirus. The Pain is now coming back! So trying to stretch and walk daily. . Mind you I do have a young pretty lady who goes out walking with me – provided I keep a good social distance between us and she chooses where we walk!!
I did manage a 500 step jog Thursday – but needed a rest the following day! Saturday – almost made it to Peter Herd’s (660 steps) but again Sunday was very limpish!! So trying stretching and walking to offset pain until things get back to normal and I can be rescheduled. Though to be honest that feels like that may be towards the end of the year. Hope you all are doing your daily core building exercises!
And Finally
Emily Moss
I’ve been out since last September with knee pain. I eventually sucked it up and realised it wasn’t going to go away with rest. I had an MRI this week, and am awaiting the results, but the consultant thought it was a lateral meniscus tear before the MRI.
If it is this, it will likely mean surgery, and probably a write off for this year, given the current COVID-19 situation. I’d consider myself lucky if I had surgery by August. It’s been incredibly frustrating giving up both running and netball, as even though the pain was not too bad at times,
I felt I was too young to do further damage that might cause problems in the years to come! Hoping this gets resolved before the end of the year, and can make a come back over winter!
Thanks, Emily for your email.
Take care everyone out there
