A lot of you [20] ran the Tittesworth Reservoir Staffordshire Moorland race in May as part of our Summer series. Well that was Race one of their 8 race series. It ended this week at Rudyard Lake and our king of the Hills – Malcolm – won the overall M55 series category. A bit of a certainty having come first in his category in all 8 races! But what a fantastic commitment and achievement. Below is him striding out in front at Oakmoor.
The last race at Rudyard saw a number of our club runners run it as a tribute to Simon.
As Nicola, above with others you may recognise, said “We were running it for Simon as he said earlier in the year he was aiming for Rudyard as his come back race. Promised him we would run it on his behalf when we realised he couldn’t fulfil his wish himself. We stuck together and enjoyed it for him.”.
