Unofficial Club Rankings

The rankings below are based upon the data I use to determine our start times in the club Christmas Handicap (probably Friday December 27th. this year); namely the Summer Series races, Round the Runway and your best times in the Wilmslow, Lyme Park and Bramhall parkruns. The rankings are unofficial and need to be taken with a pinch of salt, everyone complains the handicaps are unfair, including me, I finished last in 2018.

What does the number mean? I would expect someone with a score of 150 to run a race in around 50 minutes that a runner with a score of 120 would run in 40 minutes. The base (100) is somewhat lost in the mists of time but I think 100 is comes from Mike Halman’s (now a farmer in New Zealand) times in 2005. Damian, in his youth, dipped under the 100.
You should be included if you have run three or more of the races above, please let me know if I have missed you out. Also do the results feel right, appreciate it if you would let me know if yours or someone else’s looks wrong, I’ll check my arithmetic.
Ian
