Hi again! Last of the parkrun missives. I have now caught up with all your runs!
24 club runners turned out – in the rain [?] – Saturday at 10 events.
IanS opted for Pastures new and a scenic grassy run in Alnwick. It had the fewest runners [32] too! MarkC ambled around Chadderton; and Oliver ran at Hyde Park – not Thames side but Tameside – and paced an older Johnstone home. Huma on her monthly Stretford outing chased Qes around – Stretford [488] the busiest this weekend. Marple saw Angie putting another – now becoming her usual – strong run.
At Bramhall, Rob back from Marathon duty in the lakes was third home, with an AG of 80.31%, but a minute behind Barry who was first back. PaulN got revenge over Paul G this week; whilst Tim ran consistently as ever and ticked Bramhall off his Parkrun competition list.
Roy returned to Fletcher Moss, Didsbury – but the weather hampered his attempt at knocking some time off his Enthusiast total, RichardL ticked Didsbury off his list on his 150th run. JamesM ticked off Wythenshawe with a strong run.
JamesS, MikeH and Trevor, were all first timers at Sale water; James[3rd] just kept ahead of Sophie [ first Lady]. Mike and Trevor were 4th and 6th. AG wise Mike with his fastest time this year achieved his highest AG [80.69%] and Trevor so consistent this year achieved an AG of 81.92%. The AG table saw Trevor, Sophie and Mike top three that day.
Wilmslow as usual saw most runners. There’s a new name to me here: Stacey Rankin first lady who chased her brother round. I wondered if she has just joined?
Names I recognise: Sam ran hard and finished second; GrahamD managed to equal his PB; Don ran tail; Chris struggled round; RichardH I guess paced 22 minutes; and Laura and Colin continue to get the miles out of their legs.

Patrick, thank you for the report…Alnwick is a relatively new parkrun – just 17 events so far. The marshalls were superb on a very wet and windy day. It is a great course with fantastic views of the castle. If anyone ventures to Northumberland, please call in on the event
