Sandbach 10k, Sunday 16th September 2018
Deep in the Cheshire countryside, not the easiest venue to find if you rely on SatNav because of the race road closures, the Sandbach 10k is now an all road race held on narrow, undulating country lanes, with a short but testing uphill stretch towards the end.
The rain stopped shortly before the race, which took place in brightness and even a bit of sunshine although with a strong cross wind. Well-organised and marshalled with a strong community feeling, it’s certainly one to bear in mind for the future.
Only two of us from Wilmslow ran, but we managed to make our presence felt: Chloe was first lady and I managed first MV60.
