Training session, Saturday 15th September 2018
Nine of us gathered for the extra training session offered by Nick on Saturday afternoon, which allowed for him to give us a more individualised programme.
We were organised into groups based on our parkrun times this year (the reason being that the trails around Poynton Pool are very similar to parkrun trails) and each group was set a different target time for each rep, and a different rest time between reps. Then we set off on 1k, 1200m, 1400m, 1600m and 1800m reps and finished with a 2x 300m paired relay. We even got some feedback by email on our relative performances.
Poynton Pool proved to be a great venue and the snack and drink in a café afterwards were very welcome.
