Brian McCoubry.
When I contacted Brian for an update, his response was signed “Yours in eternal optimism”. He has been out for many months with plantar fasciitis, first in one foot then the other. He is still not totally pain free but he is now managing “two very short, slow runs a week”. Having said that, he did complete a duathlon recently though the runs were allegedly quite short. He reckons he can now see light at the end of the tunnel, but in the interim he is “enjoying cycling through it”.
Angie McCarthy.
Angie lost several months out with injury at the end of 2017 and had surgery in the new year to remedy a long term injury. She is slowly starting back in to her running again with runs of up to a mile, but Tuesday nights remain some way off yet.
Zoe Eyre.
Another long time injured, Zoe is finally back running and reckons she will to the club sessions in the next few weeks.
