Turmeric & Ginger Tea
Ingredients
1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
1 tbsp grated fresh turmeric
1 stick cinnamon
1/4 lemon peel
1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 whole black peppercorns
2 cloves
Manuka honey or raw honey to taste
A saucepan of water
Instructions
1. Place ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, lemon peel, whole black peppercorns and
cloves in sauce pan of water.
2. Bring to a boil.
3. Simmer on low heat for 30 min
4. Strain tea and discard ingredients.
5. Add boiling water to dilute if tea is too strong.
6. Add lemon juice.
7. Add honey to taste.
8. Store in a flask and drink throughout the day.
Tips
Drink this tea first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
To help reduce inflammation, drink 2-3 times a day or at least morning and bedtime.
For cold and flu, drink 2-4 cups a day and add a double shot of honey.
To help detox or lose weight, drink before every meal or twice a day.

Cloves – contain vitamin C, reduce inflammation, improves digestion, fights against cancer and relieves joint pain.
Black Peppercorns Whole – antibacterial, also a very good anti inflammatory. Aids in weight loss, reduces risk of cancer, prevents asthma.
