Cat Marshall writes… I can’t think of many 10k’s that I can say I’ve enjoyed: they’ve always been my biggest challenge and disappointment. Today was an exception. The weather was perfect, the marshals were superb (thank you Wilmslow team mates) and it was a great course for a good time.
Most of important of all, is that I was paced by Sally, who sacrificed a much faster time to get me through a time barrier that’s defied me for the past few months. She’s been a great personal trainer and support since January and is getting me steadily back from the ether to fitness. I want to publicly thank her for her perseverance!
My time was 47.12, well within our target of sub 48 minutes, and over 4 minutes faster than our starting point.
I’m hoping to get back training, racing and socialising more with the Club in 2017 and will now set my sights on sub 47 minutes.
Well done to the other Wilmslow runners with some great times and again to the marshals,
Cat
