My conversations with the host club Salford Harriers earlier in the week shocked me. They were promising a firm dry course!
Reality prevailed and with heavy overnight rain we were treated to classic BHC conditions…Muddy!
If in any doubt, the picture below will testify!

Chairman Chris Cannon proudly cut the ribbon of our new WRC branded club gazebo. Appreciated by all.
This race also kick started our new WRC Winter series. Rob Downs has kindly offered to track and update with points etc. Same format as the summer series, except men’s and ladies tables. Next up is Heaton Park XC Saturday 3rd December. Check if you are entered here…
We do need to enter you, but the club pays for your XC entries.
Congratulations to all that ran. Big well done’s to the returning post long term injury of Stuart Parrott. Also debutant Matthew Braybrooke.
Results will be here later in the day Results.
Ladies, remember its a 1.30 start this year!
Well done all and Dave Read our “in all conditions” spectator.
Nick.
Provisional results are now on line at race-results.co.uk/results/2016/maccl162.htm.
These are provisional. Any queries or anomalies please send to me and not Graham Fecitt.
It’s difficult on race day for me to watch much of the races, so those there, please do send your stories. Etc. Thanks. Nick.
Hats off to everyone that entered and supported this race! You can’t appreciate it unless you get stuck in, literally…
Thank goodness for the mud, otherwise I would not have passed three people who were trying to stay upright in the last wood before the finish.
Trevor F.
Speak for yourself Trev, I spent 58 mins trying to stay upright, you very nearly caught me.
