WINTER SAFETY

You will all be aware that when winter training, that we stipulate no high viz…no training.

Some high viz tops are in need of replacement and some don’t always wear. There are two reasons why we ask for this..

  1. For your safety ….Your UKA insurance is marginalised if not wearing
  2. To not implicate the Coach who has a “duty of care”

Please do bring and wear your hi viz tops.

Thanks.

Nick.

  1. I’m not sure how two girls killed by an alleged drunk driver is relevant, whether they were wearing hi viz or not. Of course, hi viz, flashing light, etc. should be a no brainer. I see many pedestrians, runners and cyclists in near pitch black with no light of any description, its crackers… I also see a lot of pedestrians and drivers staring at their phone instead of where they are going and you could be lit up like a Christmas tree and they still wouldn’t see you.

  2. James, if you feel that the remark is not relevant, I will bow to your judgement.

    Regards,
    Nick.
