Message from Tony:
A number of the club records have been established on courses which have now been proved to be short, e.g. Greater Manchester Marathon (380metres short 2009 to 2015) at 8min mile pace this equates to 2mins. Trafford 10k (101metres short) this equates to 22.5 seconds at 6min pace. It is an unfortunate situation for all concerned.
I am proposing that for club records we work out the time difference and add it to the relevant record and if it still breaks the old one let it stand, otherwise the record will have to go back to the previous holder. Unless anyone has a better idea?
