parkrun “Summer Series” update.

Saturday 25th July.

Aaron made the trip to Lyme Park and made the tough course look easy finishing in 22.33 coming onto the 5K trail table just in front of Louisa. At Congleton Andy ran 17.46 finishing in second place, close to his best time there and Gail finished in 26.54, no improvement on their the 5k road times.

I knew Christian would be back at South Manchester, spurred on by Di B's PB last week that put her ahead of him, he didn't disappoint. Yet another PB for Christian 20.10, puts him back in front of Di and just one second behind Tim…Sub 20 before the series ends I suspect. John P also ran the South Manc parkrun in 22.58.

parkrun " Age Graded Competition " Wythenshawe Park.

Tony was the only runner to have another crack at getting his hands on the monthly award, improving slightly on his time but not enough to depose Mike Hill from his throne.

Tony Hulme 75.49%

This months role of honour:

Queen                 Sharon Johnstone   79.62%

King                    Mike Hill                 77.43%

                          Tony Hulme            75.49%

                          Ian Ashcroft            72.64%

Court Jester       The Bunker              72.26%

Might be a slight delay on the trophies this month, due to the lad that fashions them getting arrested on his way to work this morning, non payment of fines.

As the only suggestion for next months competition venue was Wilmslow, coming from Jan, I was sorely tempted as we had 9 runners there Saturday but have decided on Cheadle Hulme.

Where is it?

The event takes place at Grove Park Sports Club, Grove Lane, Stockport, SK8 7NB

Right at the Stanley Green round about off the A34.

  1. Thanks Leanne , suggestion noted but we only had 5 runners travel the 4 mile to Whythy Park , 6 if i’m included as a spectator so Delamere may be too far .
