Birchwood 5k

Birchwood 5K 29^th May 2015.

 Spectrum Striders introduced this race to replace the Lymm 5K in the North Cheshire 5K series. The start was the long straight which we are familiar with from the finish of the Birchwood 10K. The course breaks down into 1k of road then the remainder on tracks through parks. The final 400 meters was quite muddy and did not suit road shoes with a couple of fallers on that stretch. Unfortunately a poor turnout but we really enjoyed the very flat,scenic course and would recommend it for the Summer Series next year. The ladies yet again scooped the team prize.
