parkrun "Summer Series" Update.
Saturday 23/05/15
As the season moves on I am sure we will get more runners turning up to register scores in the parkrun table, not surprising that numbers are thin on the ground at the moment as the summer series and other races are coming thick and fast this time of year.
Huma appears to run at South Manchester every week now and is getting close to her PB, finishing in 22.01, improving on her summer series time by 16 seconds and moving above Sally G in the table.
Tony had a great run at Lyme Park finishing in 23.53, a PB for the course and moving him up 6 places in the table, to just above Christian. Gail was dragged around by a younger member of Team Hill, Jacob 28.45, to clock a PB of 28.46 and swapping places with Julie in the table.
parkrun "Age Graded Competition" Burnage.
I had great fun marshalling at Burnage, car park duties…there was a junior football competition on. It is amazing what power a high viz jacket gives you, at one point I had a queue of 15 cars waiting to get on the car park with a lorry waiting to get off. Just by holding my hand up !
We have new Kings and Queens, Ian with a time of 24.43 and a percentage score of 70.53% deposed Tony from the Kings throne and Carolyn knocks John off the Queens throne (position he wasn't proud about) with in her best time of the year so far a Burnage 25.56, 65.14%, after a good 5K race at Dunham on the Friday evening.
One race left to register before we move on to another course , bit like the Grand Prix.
