A tough 4m race in hot sunny conditions amidst the thronging streets of Buxton in full-on carnival mood. Even Elvis was 'in the house' – there were a few of him, actually.
The crowds – just like London, someone said – and it was. Great atmosphere !!
Lowest turnout (24) of the series so far, and possibly ever in recent years, so a real points bonanza! And, three new age category club records set, as indicated above (sorry Cat).
Special mention for Ian Smallwood, who missed the start of the race after having to abandon his car some way out of town, and was seen by most running in the opposite direction to pick up the back of the race. Then seen again as he sprinted past at some point during the race !! But, am sorry to say, will forfeit his place points for not completing the race.

Buxton was a great race .. Quite tough and very hot but a fab atmosphere running through the streets !
